D U B L I N - IRELAND 2016

23rd May...

Bit of a late start today.... the ship didn't dock in Dublin until lunch time. I guess it was sort of nice to have a bit of a lazier morning.... but by lunch time we were keen as beans to get off and get exploring.

We decided on the 'Hop on Hop off bus... its an easy way to get around the city... hopping on and off as you wish knowing there will always be another along in 15 minutes or so.

First stop.... "The Guinness Storehouse" Seven floors of interactive displays telling the Guinness story ...finishing at the rooftop gravity bar for a pint and a 360 deg view of Dublin.

(I feel like the naughty kid here....I pinched this photo from an image search after realising I didn't actually take one outside)

Once at the top we could enjoy the view and although I passed on the pint... the others enjoyed theirs.

The remainder of our afternoon was spent taking in the atmosphere...

We finished the day off beautifully by finding a cosy spot inside 'The Oliver St John Gogarty Temple Bar' ...we enjoyed a beautiful meal.. irish brews and wonderful upbeat music and atmosphere. It was lovely to just stop and soak it in. Not having to be back at the ship until 11pm meant a very relaxed evening.

Thankyou for a wonderful day Dublin.

  1. Your photos are gorgeous! They could be turned into postcards and sold in the shops on Grafton Street

    1. The only thing with photos is they don't truly capture the atmosphere....but they do take me back when I'm writing about the places we have been.
